Looking to begin a career as a freelance Web designer or join a Web development team as a graphic designer? The Advanced Professional Certificate program helps you acquire essential skills and build a creative portfolio with advanced classes.
Advanced Professional Certificate students must complete the Professional Certificate prior to pursuing a single or dual concentration. Challenging hands-on projects are geared to helping students hone their work and build their portfolios.
Single concentration students select either Advanced Web or Flash Design as their concentration. Class assignments explore advanced Web scripting and site design techniques, or Flash animation and site design. Dual concentration students must select two concentrations. At least one concentration must be in Web design: either Advanced Web or Flash Design. Other available concentrations include Graphic Design, Digital Imaging, Digital Photography, and Game Art.
Advanced Professional Certificate students must complete a Portfolio Review class prior to graduation.
Certificate programs start on a monthly basis. You'll progress through your program in a cohort of up to 30 students. A designated Student Advisor will guide you throughout your program, helping you keep track of course deadlines and complete your program on time. Group progress reports and student work showcases foster peer interaction and inspire you to put your all into every project.
