Academic bridge program information: from certificate to degree

The Sessions College Associate's academic bridge program enables certificate program graduates to apply up to 21 credits towards the Associate's degree program.

In order to be eligible, you need to be a Sessions College certificate program graduate (Professional or Foundation certificate level at minimum) who enrolled after October 30, 2006. Your grades and portfolio of work must be outstanding and meet the standards expected of degree level students. Applications will be evaluated on an individual basis.

Benefits of the program:

  • Application fee is waived.
  • Portfolio evaluation is fast and convenient using MyGallery.
  • You may also be able to apply college credits from another institution for a maximum credit transfer of 36 credits.
  • Credits transferred will reduce your degree program tuition.

For the application process, you'll need to:

  • Complete our short application form.
  • Write a 500-word essay expressing your interest in studying graphic design, Web design, or digital media.
  • Provide transcripts from your high school and any colleges attended. (If you have graduated college, you don't need to provide high school transcripts.)
  • Submit official TOEFL or IELTS scores if English is not your native language.

All decisions on academic bridge program credit transfer are made by the program Acceptance Committee prior to enrollment.
