Sessions College for Professional Design honors the service of active-duty members of the United States armed forces as well as veterans and their spouses. Scholarships are available to make training for a professional career in art and design a possibility for these distinguished individuals.
If you are an active-duty servicemember, injured veteran, or the spouse of an injured veteran, and you have artistic, creative, or technical skills, these scholarship programs offer an exciting chance to get your start in a new career:
Retraining for a new professional career after the trauma of an injury can be a challenge for servicemembers and their families. The Louis H. Schilt Memorial Scholarship offers servicemembers injured in the line of duty and their spouses the chance to develop skills for a graphic or Web design career through a Sessions College certificate program.
In an innovative military scholarship program developed in partnership with the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, Sessions will award $1,000,000 in scholarships for certificate program students. Award recipients receive the opportunity to enroll in a Sessions Graphic Design or Web Design certificate on a full scholarship. Adobe Creative Suite software is also provided to scholarship recipients at no cost.
The Louis H. Schilt Memorial Scholarship for certificate students is one of the most advanced military scholarships available. In 2009, the United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA) recognized the program with a Gold Award for distance learning programming.
These military scholarships benefit injured servicemembers and their spouses.
