Production Director Career Description

Production Directors oversee production within an advertising agency or company. Duties include those listed for Production Managers, but require more work experience for each function. Manages staff and systems of production departments; oversees information and cost management; and develops, maintains and enables foundations processes and policies consistent with company interests. The Production Director is also responsible for both short and long term production strategy planning, ensuring that the most current and efficient production strategies are in place.
