Program Overview

The Game Art Professional Certificate program provides students with a foundation in 3D modeling, imaging, and animation for video games. Core courses explore the challenges of modeling, texturing, and animating 3D characters and environments using Autodesk Maya and Adobe Photoshop. At the end of the program, you'll have built a portfolio of imaging, modeling, and animation work that showcases your professional skill set. How It Works

The Game Art Professional Certificate program includes six required courses and you can complete in nine months or less.

Curriculum

Students are required to complete the following six courses:

  • Level 1

  • 8060 intro to game development
  • 8095 photoshop for game artists
  • 8025 maya basics
  • Level 2

  • 8050 tiling textures
  • 8067 game lighting and color
  • 8085 character animation

Do you already have some game art or design experience? You may be able to customize your Game Art Professional Certificate program by substituting courses with others from the same subject area.
