Multimedia Arts Certificate program requirements

Do you have everything you need to enroll in the Multimedia Arts Certificate program? You will be expected to meet the hardware and software requirements below before you start classes. Requirements for enrollment in the program are found on the Application Process page.

Hardware and Software Requirements

  • A Windows-based or Macintosh computer that meets manufacturers' requirements for required software in the program.
  • Broadband access to the Internet
  • Adobe Photoshop CS4 or CS5
  • Adobe After Effects CS4 or CS5
  • Adobe Premiere Pro or other non-linear editor (such as Final Cut Express)
  • A digital video camera, preferably a MiniDV with a FireWire I/O connection
  • Program concentrations and course substitutions may involve additional requirements. Please check course syllabus pages for more details.  

Read Adobe's system requirements for the Production Premium suite. This suite is not required, but does contain the software for this program.
