Learning in Action

In the Exercise portion of the class, David asks his students to create Flash banner ads for a hypothetical client, the local Board of Health.

Here are two actual exercise results from students in the Flash Basics class:

Instructor comments:
Flash animations usually require a couple of rounds of polishing/revision, just like you've done here, in order to really make them sing--also, it's a major pitfall that new Flash designers tend to get hung up on the 'mechanics' of Flash, and neglect the graphic elements, which are actually the foundation of any successful piece.

You are well on your way--keep it going!

Instructor:
Yes, that's it! Good job of implementing my suggestions, and especially at putting them together so that they flow smoothly and  integrate with the content--well done!

Flash is immensely popular on the Web, and rightly so! It’s a complex and powerful tool that lets you create great animations and interactivity. To learn more about the about what this course has to offer, visit Flash Basics.
