Under the provisions of the GI Bill, Sessions Online Schools of Art and Design is approved by the New York State Approving Agency to enroll certificate program students who are eligible veterans as well as other persons eligible to receive Department of Veteran’s Affairs (VA) education benefit payments. Eligible students are also entitled to a Sessions veteran tuition discount.
The following certificate programs are approved for GI Bill benefits: Graphic Design, Web Design, Multimedia Arts, Digital Arts, and Marketing Design, and Game Art.
Who is Eligible
Sessions Online Schools of Art and Design is approved by the VA as a correspondence school. This means that eligible veterans, eligible spouses, and surviving spouses will be eligible to receive education benefit payments. Children of veterans or children of dependents are not eligible.
Eligible applicants are entitled to the following benefits:
- 55% of tuition is reimbursed by the Department of Veteran’s Affairs
- 20% tuition discount to eligible students offered by Sessions Online Schools of Art and Design

- Total paid by students each quarter is $1325.70
- Total reimbursed by GI Bill to student each quarter is $911.40
Total actual cost to student each quarter is $414.30*
Advanced Certificate Students
- 15 Monthly payments of $382.73.
- One time $50 registration fee due at enrollment.
- First payment due approximately 10 days after enrollment and for 14 months thereafter.
- GI Bill reimburses students on a quarterly basis based upon 55% of published tuition pricing.
- Total paid by students each quarter is $1148.19.
- Total reimbursed by GI Bill to student each quarter is $789.39.
Total actual cost to student each quarter is $358.80.*
Masters’ Certificate Students
- 20 Monthly payments of $353.10.
- One time $50 registration fee due at enrollment.
- First payment due approximately 10 days after enrollment and for 19 months thereafter.
- GI Bill reimburses students on a quarterly basis based upon 55% of published tuition pricing.
- Total paid by students each quarter is $1059.3
- Total reimbursed by GI Bill to student each quarter is $728.25
Total actual cost to student each quarter is $325.05*
