The Advanced Certificate program helps you acquire essential skills and build an artistic portfolio with advanced classes.
As an Advanced program student, you'll complete the Foundation level, learning essential photography skills for different subjects and situations, and gaining fluency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. You'll develop an understanding of color and composition and a confidence in traditional and vector illustration.
At the Advanced level, students choose a professional concentration: Digital Photography or Illustration. Challenging hands-on projects are geared to helping you hone your artistic work and build your portfolio. Class assignments provide scenarios in advanced photography and imaging projects or digital illustration and drawing.
Upon completing the Advanced Level, you'll present a body of work to a portfolio review panel for feedback. The focus of the class is to help you present your work effectively to potential employers.

The Foundation program list indicates requirements for students starting out in the field of design. Students with prior academic or design experience may be able to substitute a course or courses with alternative course(s) in the same subject area:
Advanced concentrations are designed to help students develop their portfolios in specific areas. Advanced courses may substituted with alternative advanced courses in a complementary subject area, based on advisor approval.

and classes completed at your own pace. You will have a tutor follow your progress. Expert Faculty provides
critique and feedback on projects within 1-2 business
days, helping you build a design portfolio for prospective
employers.
