Looking to explore interactive design and animation—or develop multimedia content for Web? The Advanced Certificate program helps you acquire essential skills and build an interactive portfolio with advanced classes.

As an Advanced program student, you'll complete the Foundation level, learning how to create artwork in
Adobe Photoshop, Flash, and After Effects, and shoot digital video and edit it in Avid or Final Cut Express.
Your focus will be designing images, animations, interfaces, and motion graphics for Web-based multimedia.

At the Advanced level, students choose a professional concentration: Flash Design or Web Design. Challenging hands-on projects are geared to helping you hone your work and build your portfolio. Class assignments provide scenarios in Flash animation, game, and application development or standards-based Web design.

Upon completing the Advanced Level, you'll present a body of work to a portfolio review panel for feedback. The focus of the class is to help you present your work effectively to potential employers.

Certificate programs start on a monthly basis. You'll progress through your program in a cohort of up to 30 students. A designated Student Advisor will guide you throughout your program, helping you keep track of course deadlines and complete your program on time. Group progress reports and student work showcases foster peer interaction and inspire you to put your all into every project. More about the student experience.
