Looking to grow a deep portfolio and skillset for a career in Web design and development?
The Master's Certificate program is a platform for success, enabling you to develop a rounded portfolio in advanced Web technology or Flash design, and branch out into graphic design, digital imaging, digital photography, or game art.
As a Master's Certificate program student, you'll complete the Foundation level, developing technical and creative skills in the industry-standard programs Adobe Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, and Flash. You'll learn how to use color and typography, create digital images and animations, and build standards-compliant Web sites using either HTML/CSS hand-coding or Web editing programs.
At the Master's level, students choose two professional concentrations. One concentration must be in Web design: either Advanced Web or Flash Design. In the second concentration, you can deepen your Web design portfolio or explore a related art/design field: Graphic Design, Digital Imaging, Digital Photography, or Game Art.
Imagine your portfolio with links to Web/Flash work alongside your creative imaging, logo designs, or 3D artwork. Upon completing the Master's Level, you'll present a body of work to a portfolio review panel for feedback. The focus of the class is to help you present your work effectively to potential employers.
Certificate programs start on a monthly basis. You'll progress through your program in a cohort of up to 30 students. A designated Student Advisor will guide you throughout your program, helping you keep track of course deadlines and complete your program on time. Group progress reports and student work showcases foster peer interaction and inspire you to put your all into every project. More about the student experience.
