About The Scholarship Program

Sessions accepts a maximum of 25 entrants to the Louis H. Schilt Memorial Scholarship program every six months. Program applications for classes starting April 1st, 2009 are now being accepted and should be submitted by Feb 13th, 2009.

Students selected for the program will receive:

  • Full tuition scholarships for Graphic Design OR Web Design Foundation I programs.
  • Apple iMac computers complete with Adobe Standard OR Web Creative Suite software.

Students who complete their Foundation I programs will be eligible to complete the remainder of their Foundation program at no additional tuition. Scholarship students are expected to complete Foundation I within 6 months.

Develop skills for a career in graphic design or Web Design

The Louis H. Schilt Memorial Scholarship program offers an excellent opportunity for injured veterans or their spouses to get their start in a graphic design or Web design career. The graphic arts is a exciting career choice that rewards creative and technical skills, as well as business and communication skills.

If you are an injured veteran or his/her spouse, and you have artistic, creative, and technical skills, the scholarship offers an exciting chance to get your start in a new career:

  • Graphic Design program students learn skills for poster design, logo and identity design, magazine and book layout, image retouching, compositing, digital illustration, advertising design, packaging design, and promotion design. more info
  • Web design program students learn digital retouching and compositing, XHTML page markup, CSS-based layout and typography, home page and navigation design, Flash graphics and animations, and how to design site map. more info
