About The Client

Cambodian Arts & Scholarship Foundation is a non-profit organization that collaborates with local communities in Cambodia to identify potential students, provides financial, emotional and medical support to these students and their families, and sustains this support for as long as the child wants to learn.

About The Project

This project is a full site redesign as well as a logo redesign for Cambodian Arts & Scholarship Foundation. Because of its scope, the project will be broken down into several submissions: the first submission will be turned in by all competitors, the second will be turned in by finalists, and the third will be done by the winner only.

The first submission will be a three-part project:

Redesign of the CASF logo. Competitors will be asked to do a redesign that takes into account the concepts conveyed by the current logo. You will receive more specific direction on this upon signing up for the competition. All competitors will have the opportunity to submit up to three logo design variations.

Redesign of the CASF homepage. Special attention will be given to revamping the "Updates" section on the homepage so that it is more prominently featured and appears to be a more dynamic news source about CASF. Competitors will be given revised copy for the homepage as well as photos which can be used.

Navigation plan for the rest of the site. Competitors will submit a site map illustrating navigation for the CASF site.

Colors/Fonts: Each logo design should be submitted in a black and white version and in a color version. Logos will be evaluated first and foremost on the integrity of the shape itself, since color choices can easily be changed. For the homepage design, you are not limited to the colors or fonts currently used on the site.

Each participant has the opportunity to submit up to 3 logo designs, a homepage design, and . Semi-finalists will have an opportunity to revise and improve their designs with Faculty feedback, and go on to do the brochure design. We will be reviewing final submissions along with CASF, who will be selecting the winner. If your design is selected by CASF, we may give you some notes for minor tweaks and revisions, and you may also be given feedback directly with the client, after which point you must submit a version of the design with finalized copy as provided by CASF.
