About The Client
Tuesday's Children, a non-profit family service organization
founded by family and friends of 9/11 victims, has
made a long-term commitment dedicated to the needs
of every child who lost a parent on 9/11.
Working as a team with recognized leaders in the
fields of child development, family advocacy, crisis
counseling and mentoring initiatives, Tuesday's Children
has developed an innovative platform of programs based
on family community interaction which focus on the
realization of full potential today and tomorrow.
Tuesday's Children's progams include:
• Children's Mentoring.
• Special Event Resources.
• Family Support Network.
• Creative Insight.
• Internships and Apprentice Program.
• Giant Steps.
About The Project
For reference, here are the guidelines that were
provided to participants:
Competition entrants will be designing an eight-page
brochure that will play a key role in Tuesday's Children's
press kit. The brochure will be broadly directed to
potential partners, parents, educators, and other
contributors. The brochure will give a visual overview
of the company and its goals.
Size: The brochure will need to
fit in an 8.5" x 12" press kit folder. It
could also be prepared for self-mailing.
Colors/Fonts: Because of the nature
of this non-profit organization and the companies
it will be approaching for partnership, the brochure
should be fairly conservative, and largely in keeping
with the look and feel of the organization's Web site,
www.tuesdayschildren.org.
To that end, we will provide to all contestants a
list of approved color specs and fonts.
Logo: To the right you can see a
.gif version of the logo. We will provide to all contestants
an EPS version of the logo for you to work with on
your print design.
Images: The Tuesday's Children Web
site is rich with photographic images that dramatize
their mission on a human level. Though this brochure
should be fairly conservative, it should in no way
be dry. To that end, we will provide to all contestants
a sampling of photos used on the Web site, from which
you can choose elements to include in your brochure
design.
Please note that because the organization and brochure
is focused on helping 9/11 survivors build a successful
future, all supplied images will be family-related.
Realistic or emotive images of 9/11 itself are not
appropriate for this print brochure.
