Every few months, Sessions Online Schools of Art and Design run a design competition for our most talented graphic design and web design students to create a pro-bono print or web design for a non-profit organization. Our competitions allow non-profit organizations to obtain high-quality design work at no cost, while offering our students the opportunity to build their portfolio with a prize-winning design that is used by a real client.
If you are a non-profit organization with a crucial and inspiring mission, we would love to have you fill out our Competition Client Application form. As a client for one of our competitions, we would collaborate with you to develop a compelling project both for you and for our students. Once the entries are in, we narrow them down to a group of semi-finalists, and then you have the final say in choosing the winner, the design that would actually be used.
This process is a lot of fun for the client because you get to see several designers’ approach to expressing your message. Even if you already have in-house design staff, this is a great way to get a fresh perspective on a one-off project such as a poster, postcard, brochure, or other printed piece, or an addition to your web site or other online communication efforts. It also allows you to give students a chance to contribute to your mission.
