Who studies at Sessions? At the start
of their Certificate Programs, three new students discuss
why they enrolled and how they'll pursue their learning
and professional goals.
How did you select Sessions as the
place for your design studies?
Most importantly, I chose Sessions because
I was impressed by the instruction. I feel
the techniques and climate of graphic design
change frequently, and I am more comfortable
learning from professionals currently in
the field, than from someone who worked
in it 20 years ago. Sessions was also more
convenient and better priced than a traditional
school.
How do you plan to fit your coursework
in around your regular work and life schedule?
Thank God there are 24 hours in a day...night
hours and weekends are my best "creative"
times. It’s a very “21st century”
way to learn for people like me. With a
family and many obligations, it's less stressful
than how I used to go to school and study.
I am amazed online learning is so much easier
to do. All the instructors and tech people
have been top-notch too.
What are you planning to do with
your design education?
I am now freelancing as a graphic designer,
working with promotional companies as well
as developing and implementing my own style
throughout the fashion industry. My latest
accomplishment has been producing a souvenir
book where I created the concept, the artwork
& layout. This is where what I learned
at Sessions.edu has really paid off. I plan
on using my skills to pursue my goal of
being the best I can be in the graphic design
field.
