The IRC Brochure competition was sponsored by the International Rescue Committee (IRC) of Phoenix. Founded in 1933, the International Rescue Committee is a world-famous non-profit organization that responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives.

For the IRC Brochure competition, students were asked to design a brochure for the International Rescue Committee Phoenix working with text, images, and branding guidelines provided by the client. 43 students entered the competition. Competition judges and faculty Margaret Penney and Kristen Becker worked with moderator Nomi Altabef to select the seven best entrants, each of which were given feedback to improve their designs for a final submission.

Now the client IRC Phoenix will review the final entries to select a winner for publication. We expect to announce a winner and to publish a gallery of finalist work by the end of June, so stay tuned!
