Jordon Schranz, Head of Illustration, audio/visual artist and designer

FALL 2025

Live Events

Say you’ve got artistic talent and are happy to spend all day drawing characters, animals, and imaginary spaces. You love the story telling power of cartoons and animations, and you have ambition to write a graphic novel someday.

Just how do you become an illustrator?

There are thousands of ways to develop the skills to become an illustrator AND many different careers in which you can apply those skills.

In this Sessions Live event, we interview veteran designer and illustrator Eric Torres about his path to becoming a professional. We will look at the types of work he does now, and the kinds of skills it requires, and then press rewind to find out the story of how he first developed those skills, how he trained inside and outside of college, and got his big career break.

Hosting the show and helping us unravel the story of Eric’s artistic development will be Sessions College Dept Head of Illustration Jordon Schranz and College President Gordon Drummond.
