FAQ on our New Micro-Credentials Program
In March 2026 we announced a new micro-credentials program launched through Credly.
If you completed one of our digital foundation courses this summer with a B or higher, in the next 1-2 days you will receive an invitation from Credly to accept a digital badge.
Here’s how to participate:
Q: What is a digital badge?
A digital badge is a way to show your skills earned to potential clients and employers. A badge is an icon/link that you can easily add to your LinkedIn, Twitter/X, or Facebook profile, share via email, or add to your website or email signature. Every digital badge earned and shared connects to a page at Credly with a breakdown of skills demonstrated.
Here is an overview of the micro-credentials program.
Q: Do I have to accept the badge?
Participating in the micro-credentials program is entirely voluntary. You can choose not to accept a badge, or accept only some badges, and you can control whether (and when) your information is public and private. It is option for those that wish to showcase their skills in a transparent digital format.
Q: Is it easy to get started?
To accept a digital badge, you will need to create a page at Credly, which can be done in a convenient process using your Google, Meta, or browser credentials and your email address. Then, if you wish to publicize your badge, choosing platforms is quite straightforward.
In which Sessions courses can I earn badges?
Digital badges are currently awarded for specific digital foundation courses, from Summer 2026 term onwards, for students who earn a B or higher. Here is a list of all micro-credentials.
Important: Micro-credentials cannot be awarded retroactively if you completed a selected course before April 2026.
We hope this new program will be helpful to promoting student achievement and assisting our graduate in their job search process. if you have any questions or feedback on this new service, please contact us at advisor-team@sessions.edu.
