Student Ambassadors
2026-27 Student Ambassadors
The Student Ambassadors are a group of volunteer students who represent the Sessions College experience. They provide school administrators feedback on institutional strategy and planning and participate in outreach and events.
Student Ambassadors achieve these goals by working closely with Education and Student Services teams. Since 2010, this annually elected group has been an important part of the growth and development of Sessions College. Student Ambassadors are nominated at the beginning of Fall term each year.
Amanda Ayao
Associate Degree in Graphic Design
I am a graphic design student whose creative path began in a different place. I spent more than 20 years working in radio broadcasting as an on-air personality, as well as a production and program director. I always loved the creative side of that work, but eventually I found myself wanting to explore my longtime interest in visual design.”
Going back to school gave me the chance to finally pursue that interest. I earned an Associate degree in Digital Media and enjoyed it enough that I wanted to keep learning, which brought me to Sessions to continue my education in Graphic Design. I especially enjoy branding and illustration, and I have a particular love for vintage advertising and styles like mid-century modern and art nouveau. I enjoy playing with ideas, trying different approaches, and watching a design take shape as all the pieces start to come together.
My goal is to continue growing as a designer and eventually build a career doing graphic design and freelance creative work. Returning to school and starting a new creative path later in life has been both exciting and challenging, and I hope my experience might encourage someone else who is thinking about taking that leap too.
Devin Howard
My name is Devin, and I am a working photographer currently completing my Bachelor of Fine
Arts in Digital Photography at Sessions College. Balancing school while working in this field means that
I can immediately apply what I learn, and the curriculum has helped me learn new techniques,
see things from different creative perspectives, and grow as a professional.
I believe there is always something new to learn, and I am constantly looking for ways to
develop as an artist, storyteller, and small business owner. As a creative, growth never stops,
and the technology and techniques within photography are constantly changing. Being enrolled
at Sessions College has helped me keep up with those changes while continuing to develop my
distinct style and approach to photography
