Here’s some terrific news for busy adults looking to level up their industry-relevant creative skills in an intensive online environment.

On October 1st, 2026, Sessions College has launched two new online bootcamp courses in Adobe Illustrator and Drawing. The bootcamp courses, which begin on October 19th, give students the opportunity to develop or advance creative skills, working completely online at their own pace, with weekly deadlines to keep them on track.

Like most bootcamps, the new classes are built to deliver results fast. Bootcamp students can complete each course in just 9 weeks—on December 18th—and on completion, students will gain:

  • A Certificate of Completion.
  • Earn a verifiable micro-credential in Adobe Illustrator or Drawing with a final grade B or higher.
  • Transfer credit into a degree or certificate program at Sessions College.

A Bootcamp Like No Other

Since 2001, Sessions College has delivered accredited online design and digital media courses and programs designed for adult learners. We specialize in education that fits your life—so what makes our new bootcamp courses different?

According to Sessions College Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. Meryl Epstein, the new bootcamp courses take advantage of core strengths of Sessions College courses, and adds some exciting new features.

“We have wonderful faculty at Sessions who love working with a wide range of students from total beginners to working pros,” says Dr. Epstein. “With our bootcamp courses, we wanted to create an intensive course experience, where an adult learner can jump in and get up to speed in a relevant area of skill in a matter of weeks. For example, say you’ve always wanted to learn Adobe Illustrator or how to draw using classical techniques. In this new format, you can enroll in October and graduate before the holidays hit.”

Students who join the October 19th classes will be studying with experienced faculty in UX Designer Mike Hamm and exhibiting artist Jordon Schranz. The learning is all hands-on, with students posting weekly assignments that are actually compelling creative projects, and receiving 1to1 feedback as they progress. The courses can be completed with a time commitment of 5-6 hours/week. Interactive sandboxes provide areas for skill growth and peer-peer sharing. At the end of the course, all students receive an end-of-course skills assessment.

Truly Affordable Tuition

In sync with the Sessions College mission, the new Bootcamp courses are available at a truly affordable tuition rate geared to adults and employers seeking continuing education.
Students can register for a 9-week course at an affordable $750 total tuition and fees. Students can finance their course using a simple payment plan of $250/month for three months.

Sessions College President Gordon Drummond is excited at the possibilities.

“The new Bootcamps support our drive to provide creative skills education at all levels,” Drummond says, “whether it’s by completing a degree program in months or years or a course that gets you up to speed in a specific area in just nine weeks. We look forward to expanding this format to a range of other art design topics. Imagine deciding you are going to learn Photoshop in the spring, and then learn Premiere and cartoon illustration over the summer. You can advance your skills on your schedule, at a price you can afford.”
