Sessions College Earns Reaccreditation from Middle States Association

Online College Awarded 5th MSA Accreditation

TEMPE, AZ (Dec 1, 2025).

Sessions College announced on Dec 1st, 2025 that it has been reaccredited by the Middle States Association (MSA) for the 2025-2030 term—a milestone that reaffirms the school meets rigorous standards and demonstrates sustained commitment to continuous improvement.

“Schools and colleges are tasked with adapting to a world of constant change and equipping student with skills that are relevant to tomorrow's workplace,” said Gordon Drummond, Sessions College President. “MSA’s process is professional peer review for the purpose of growth and improvement. It’s structured yet flexible—it continues to help us refine our vision, assess current practices, and turn that learning into a concrete, actionable plan.”

Why Reaccreditation? Why Now?

As a fully online institution, Sessions College has been accredited the DEAC since 2001 and by the Middle States Commission on Secondary Schools since 2006. Sessions College pursued MSA reaccreditation at this time to advance priorities that matter to our community:

Graduate Opportunities. MSA reaccreditation connects our program to recognized standards and—when relevant—supports pathways like an American-style diploma accepted by universities worldwide. We want to ensure every door possible remains open to our graduates.

Strong Foundations of Organizational and Academic Success. MSA’s five standards and key concepts prompt deep reflection across every part of our school, yielding stronger systems and an improved academic program families can count on—with clear targets for the new term.

Data-Backed Improvement. MSA asks us to gather and use data from our own community, keeping improvement tied to real needs—not hypothetical opportunities—and to demonstrate impact since the last cycle.

Why Middle States Association?

MSA has been inspiring wise change in schools and school leaders for 135 years, supporting 3,200+ schools and over 2 million students across 117 countries. Sessions College chose to renew with MSA because the self-study process is inherently valuable and reaccreditation sharpens our mission, model, and measures into a clear narrative and signals quality recognized worldwide.

What Happens Next?

Now that Sessions College is reaccredited by the Middle States Association, we continue in a community of 3,200 schools in 117 countries that hold themselves to the highest educational standards. As part of the reaccreditation process, we confirmed a multi-year plan for growth and improvement with clear goals and the steps to reach them. We will put this plan into practice and share updates with our community.

Graduates of Sessions College, an MSA-accredited school, continue to benefit from a program aligned to established standards, supporting access to pathways where an American education and diploma is recognized.
