Best Sites for Design Inspiration: Summer Edition

As designers, it’s important to stay up-to-date with the latest trends in graphic design. To that end, here is a list we have compiled of websites chock full of inspiration for print, web, packaging and typographic design.
The Book Cover Archive
The Book Cover Archive a project maintained by Ben Pierall and Eric Jacobsen is an up-to-the moment web archive of the best in book design from notable publishers like Penguin Books. The fonts are identified on the site by the Stephen Coles, editor of another great resource, Fonts in Use, as well.
Typographic Posters
If you love typography and posters then look no further than Typographic Posters for creative inspiration. The website houses an excellent collection of poster designs with bold expressive typography and layouts from creatives around the world. When you click on a poster design you are also taken to a showcase of the designer work that includes a biography. Â Below you can see the work of The Rodina, a talented and forward-thinking design and art collective interested in “working on the abolition between art and design.”
Trend List
Trend List is an ever-evolving resource of the latest in “contemporary tendencies,” as the creatives behind Trend List describe. At the website you can find a bold curated selection of current and trendy design. It’s a go to stop for any designer interested in staying up with what the latest visual graphic design trends. The website creators make clear though that the site focuses on design as aesthetic and solely on its visual impact versus how it handles content.
Site Inspire
For web design inspiration, Site Inspire is a great resource for website design with a lot of visual appeal and also great information design. The site showcases a variety of site types including gallery, hotel community, festival cpororate and artist sites, so regardless of your project type you will likely find some inspiration here.
Inspiration Grid
The Inspiration Grid has a well-balanced selection of graphic design projects from well-known and newly minted graphic design studios. Design projects in a variety of visual design styles can be found and the focus is on branding kits and 360 degree client solutions.
