Free Font Friday: Nature Spirit

A good display font is capable of instantly transporting a viewer to another time and place. An even better display font does so without being limited to any single time or place. Nature Spirit is one of those fonts. Equally at home on the title card of an indie film or the packaging of an organic snack, Nature Spirit is a modern font with vintage flavor.
Created by Alex Joganic, Nature Spirit is a display font that has a little bit of tooth to it. It doesn’t take itself too seriously but is refined enough to adapt to a wide variety of uses for those looking to inject a bit of grit into their next project. It pairs nicely with both serifs and sans serifs, the former of which will push the overall feel more towards the retro direction, while the latter will make things feel more modern. The contrast with either a serif or sans serif will also further highlight Nature Spirit’s rustic personality.
It’s well suited for use within hero images, logos, or even t-shirt designs. Nature Spirit is a great choice for any project looking to capture a handmade, artisanal quality while keeping a somewhat clean aesthetic.
