Nike Rooftop is for the Drones

by Margaret Penney | July 5, 2017

The Nike brand takes its image to new heights with the placement of a gigantic version of its iconic swoosh on the top of its newly finished New York City headquarters. The building, located in Midtown Manhattan, is a 150,000 square foot stunner with an open-plan layout and custom ceiling tiles made of recycled materials.

The rooftop swoosh is visible to any bird, plane, and drone and is part of its effort to place itself more centrally in New York City along with its other campaigns like #NewYorkMade, which includes city-wide community collabs.

Stamping larger than life logos on rooftops is a new and trending branding choice and something we are sure to see more of on other buildings across the globe.
