Robin Imse is an all round creative who can turn her hand to any artistic medium. Says Robin: “I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, crafting, and hiking. I’ve discovered a love of helping my teen and his friends learn how to do some of the videography stuff in the last few months. It’s been so fun watching them come up with ideas and learning how to put it into practice!”

Areas of strength: I’m not sure what my strengths are, really, but I love projects with a strong storytelling element. I really enjoy problem solving and finding creative ways to make a project work, whether that’s in videography or photography. There’s a sense of adventure that comes with stretching your abilities and trying new things.
Benefits of studying online: With studying online, there’s so much flexibility with my time that is such a benefit. I homeschool my kids, so having the ability to take a break in the middle of a lecture to help sort out math problems is such a blessing. I also love that I can work ahead if I need to and that all my lectures and exercises are available in advance so I can plan ahead. It’s incredibly helpful.
Best thing about Sessions College: I love Sessions College. I love how accessible so many of my instructors have been and how helpful and accommodating they’ve been. I’ve been so appreciative of all they’re hard work and how they’ve been willing to work with me when something comes up in my life. It’s been such a blessing.
Who made a difference? I really enjoyed all my videography classes, like Digital Video Editing, Time Based Media, and Video Production with Natalie La Scala. She was so helpful and I really appreciated all her insights and critiques. She was fantastic.
Creative and/or professional goals after graduation: After graduation, I’m not sure what my goals are. I have a lot of ideas of what I want to do, but I’ve been a little surprised by how much I’ve enjoyed helping my teen and his friends, so maybe we’ll see about doing that more, helping them realize some of their creative goals!
